About Dr Jonathan Cohen 

Jonathan studied medicine at Cambridge and Oxford Universities, before moving to London to specialise in paediatrics.  He trained in several London hospitals, including many years at Great Ormond Street, St Mary’s.  Jonathan spent eight years further developing his practice as a Consultant in General Paediatrics and Paediatric Infectious Diseases at UCLH, where he was a Divisional Clinical Director.  Since March 2021, he has worked as a consultant in Paediatric Immunology & Infectious Diseases at Evelina London Children’s Hospital.

He has an MSc (Distinction) in Clinical Paediatrics and a PhD from UCL for his research into vaccines against pneumonia.  His research has been funded by the Medical Research Council and the Academy of Medical Sciences. In 2015, he received a Top Teacher Award from UCL Medical School. He established and chairs the British Association for Paediatric Tuberculosis, and has lectured on topics in childhood infection around the world.
 
Jonathan has a passion for holistic patient and family-centred care.  He is happy to see all children, from age 28 days through to 18 years.
